Conscious Minds

Mind, Body and Spirit
Everyone has heard about the three levels of being, the mind, body and spirit of a person. But there are also corresponding conscious minds for each of these areas of person as well. In the simplest of terms, we are made up of 4 levels of being.
  1. The physical being - the physical mind
  2. The soul being - the soul mind
  3. The spiritual being - the spirit mind
  4. The Divine Consciousness - the Divine mind

We can see these in action when we look at the levels of consciousness.

The Conscious Self: The Physical Mind
The physical brain is the mind of the Body. This is your conscious mind, the part of the self that governs your day-to-day activities. Where you reason and process information that interact with and where you hold your current life memories.

The Higher Conscious Self: The Soul Mind
The sub-consciousness is the mind of the Soul. This area of being is also called the higher consciousness of the self. This is the part of the self that talks to your conscious mind and represents the true self of a person, this is your spiritual presence in this incarnation. If you are someone who holds a lot of doubts about who you are, those thoughts are held in your subconscious mind. No matter what your physical mind does, or tries to present to others, the energy behind the doubt is still held in your subconscious mind. This is one of the reasons that what you think of yourself is so important. To over come obstacles, you must start with your subconscious mind.

The Super Conscious Self: The Spirit Mind
The super consciousness is the mind of the Spirit. This is where you hold the aspect of the Divine within yourself. Some call this level of consciousness the Divine Self or the God-Self. You might think of this as the controlling mind of the whole being. This is where you hold all past life memories, your reasoning center for making choices on a spiritual level, and your connection or bridge to the greater Universal Divine Spirit.

The Divine Consciousness: The Universal Spirit/God/Goddess
The Divine or Universal Consciousness is the everything that exists. The whole, the All or another way to put it, it's everything connected together through out all of creation. It is, for lack of a better word "God" and we are each part of that consciousness.

Building A Bridge Between Minds
Meditation is the way we build the bridge between our conscious (physical mind) and subconscious (spiritual mind) and super-conscious (Divine Self). By making this connection stronger and stronger each time you meditate, you are establishing a permanent bridge between these conscious minds. One you can use not just in meditation, but through out your waking day. When you're faced with an issue, or a problem, you can easily cross the bridge and look at what's going on from a higher perspective, that of your Divine Self. Doing this can help you react to negative situations in a positive light, instead of reacting in a knee jerk negative way and making matters worse.

But more than that, it helps you to "see" with your Divine Self, or another way to say it, with your Spiritual Eyes. You can tap into your Divine Self and guide your physical actions through out your day. This helps each person walk the path of their soul, make choices during the day that leads them closer to fulfilling the purpose of their soul and the intent of their life in this incarnation. From working on karma to learning the spiritual lessons you choose to fulfill your inner spiritual purpose.
