What Is Reincarnation?
Anatomy Of The Soul

Reincarnation
Reincarnation is the process used by Spirit to progress the soul through evolutionary cycles. With each lifetime, the soul repays karmic debt, receives rewards for karmic credit and sets-up situations that cause the soul to face spiritual lessons and make choices to progress the enlightenment of the soul. If we learn our lessons, we move forward, if we repeat old patterns and chose not to learn, we can remain stagnant and will have to repeat the lesson again. This is similar to Transmigration, but it's not the same thing.

What Is The Spirit?
The Spirit vs. the Soul - The Spirit is pure Divine energy of a single being. It is the culmination of all that persons lifetimes, energies. It is their total spiritual essence on the Divine Ethereal plane. It is the he whole of who that being is and was. Every life, every memory and every action ever taken on ones spiritual path is the essence of a spirit.

What Is The Soul?
The soul is a subset or smaller section of our spirit. It is the section of our spirit that we chose to pull into a single physical incarnation to work with and work on. Of all the lifetimes we've had, we couldn't cram all of the karmic debt/assets, knowledge or lessons into one incarnation. It would be over whelming and too much to work on in one life. So we choose a maximum of 22 past lives to pull from. These 22 past lives, and the present incarnation (totaling 23), create the Spiritual DNA or soul of a single incarnation.

The composition of who we are, the color of our eyes, skin tone, hair color, family genetics and so on are wrapped in the physical DNA we get from our parents. Remember, everything in life is about balance and the spiritual universe does have an order and structure to even the smallest detail. The 23 physical DNA composition balance with the 23 spiritual DNA compositions and make us who we are in mind/body/spirit.

So What Is Included In The Spiritual DNA?
Other than the karma brought forth from those 22 past lives, we pull in characteristics to define our spiritual purpose or goals. These 7 layers or 7 spiritual characteristics help to create our foundation as an incarnated being. All these characteristics are combined with the physical DNA and help to make you the person you are today.
  • Our Origin/Purpose (a mission so to speak like that of the Pleiadian bridge builder),
  • Our Talents (such as communication),
  • Our Skills (such as a skilled sculptor),
  • Our Environment (issues associated with living in a big family for instance),
  • Our Back Ground or Creed (such as being Irish),
  • Our Potential (such as spiritual awareness)
  • Our Spiritual Balance (such as incarnating as a female when most of your previous lives have been male.)

Who Chooses Which Lives We Bring Into This One?
Before you're born or attach to the physical body your going to inhabit in this incarnation, your spirit makes a few decisions. You decide which past lives to pull into this one, you decide the lessons and karmic events you'll work on, you can make an agreement with another soul(s) to join together in this coming life to resolve personal karma. Such as your mother and father, friends or a spouse. All these issues are defined in a Master Plan (like a spiritual blue print) for the coming life.

As with any blue print, as you build the structure, issues or situations arise that cause you to make choices to further detail or refine the original plan. This is the law of Free Will and how we progress and evolve the soul. Our spirit can provide the situations, but the final outcome is never predefined. That is determined by free will and choice. The soul learns and hopefully progresses along its spiritual path through these choices.

What Happens When The Soul Completes Its Mission?
Once the soul has made its choices and completed its mission, it will leave this physical world. It's important to remember that the soul is always connected to the larger spirit. Choices are being made every moment through out the life of the soul that causes adjustments to the spiritual blue print. At some point, the soul will see the life it has built and decide the construction has been completed. When the physical body dies, the soul detaches itself and prepares to return to the larger spiritual body.

After death, the soul typically remains with the physical body until it is properly put to rest, if that's possible. Of course there situations where that may not be possible, such as in times of war, floods or other natural disasters and so on. In these cases, the soul makes it's own determination of when to leave the side of the physical body. The soul will comfort those who mourn their passing and take the opportunity to say good-bye to those who were in their life. Typically this occurs through dreams we have of our lost loved one.

When the physical connections have been put to rest, the soul will travel to the spiritual realm. There are way too many theories about what this spiritual place is to document here, even in the metaphysical world. So let's focus on what happens once your soul is in the spiritual realm. Many people have described being greeted by loved ones that have passed on before you. They will appear to you in forms that you recognize and are familiar with.

The soul spends some time readjusting and remembering, at which time it rejoins the energy of the larger spirit it came from. The knowledge, wisdom, and physical experience the soul gained while incarnated is now merged with the larger spirit. The Divine energies and the spirit make an assessment concerning the progression of enlightenment based on the lessons in the past incarnation. In other words, the spirit determines what it learned and what it needs to repeat. What karma it repaid and what it gained, and so on. The spirit now decides how to proceed on its path to At-one-ment.

Typically the spirit remains in the spiritual realm for 50 years or more. Time does not flow on the spiritual realm the way we think of it here. So 'timing' of transitions is not set in stone and vary based on the choices of the spirit. Many spirits decide to provide service to other spirits it had been linked with. Such as; taking on one of the spirit guide roles to a person who is still incarnated in the physical world.

When the spirit has completed its work on the spiritual realm and decided to incarnate into another physical form, the whole process of building a new spiritual blue print starts over again.

Finding Your Past Lives
There are many ways to find your personal past lives. Past life regressions, past life readings, and personal meditations are all good ways to discover your past. However, in today's society, anyone can hang out a shingle. So if you search out someone to offer you a regression or reading, please be sure they are qualified before you pay for their services.

One of the easiest and most affordable ways to discover your past lives, is for you to discover them yourself. You can do this through a Past Life Guided Meditation.

Transition By Murder or Suicide
Metaphysics is no different in it's view of violent acts, murder and suicide than many other religious paths. Its wrong and carries with it a good deal of karma. When a spirit decides to incarnate, it makes numerous commitments with other spirits to learn, grow and move toward enlightenment. Anything that breaks those agreements is seen as interference and carries a heavy price.

Everyone has free will and choice to make decisions in their daily lives. A bank robber who accidentally shoots an innocent bystander doesn't escape the Divine price simply because he didn't mean to do it. His action is no different than the person who sets out and plans a murder of a specific individual. These actions set a spirit back on the scheme of progression to enlightenment. How much depends on the person and the amount of karma they carry.

Metaphysical researchers have suggested that souls who have taken many lives are segregated or restricted from further incarnations once they transition to the spirit world. What the Christians call Hell, Metaphysicians call the Lower Realm or the Demon Realm. This lowest level is for souls who have created such evil and karma for their spirits that they have been banned by the Divine consciousness to their own realm of existence. Learn more about The Spiritual Realms.

According to some researchers, the victims in these cases go through a longer period of transition into the spirit world than other souls who die of natural causes, or by their planned transition. There is a period of shock. From that perspective the soul either attains an understanding of what occurred and continues their journey into spirit. Or they may stay confused as to what happened, or perhaps become angry and remain attached to the physical world. In the metaphysical world this is called an earth bound entity or Ghost.

Suicide is a little different, but is still considered to be a great interference. Walking into a physical incarnation is a great gift. Tossing that gift away and impacting the agreements with other souls is also considered to be an interference. What some call a sin. There is a great movie that depicts the consequences of suicide on a life; What Dreams May Come starring Robin Williams.

When a person commits suicide their soul falls into limbo. Their consciousness isn't part of the physical world, nor are they part of the spiritual world. They cannot connect to Divine consciousness so they cannot 'see' the path to spiritual realm. They don't have the strength to connect to the physical world, so they cannot ask for help. They remain with all their emotions, traumas and troubles in tact, in a realm of nothingness.

There are many accounts of relatives and psychic groups encountering these lost souls through meditation or channeled readings. This isn't a connection the lost soul is making to the living, but rather an effort by the living to reach into the realm of limbo. In doing this a person can open a doorway of light and call to the lost soul. Helping them understand what they have done and trying to guide them to the white light of the Divine path into the spirit world. But the choice to go is still in the hands of the lost soul. They can become frightened and back away, or they can choose to walk forward into the light of the Divine Consciousness and move along the path of transition. It's up to them. Suicide is not the answer and does not resolve the pain and hurt.

The Purpose of Being:
What is the purpose of reincarnation? Why do we keep coming back? Those are the two most common questions spiritual researchers ask about reincarnation. From a metaphysical perspective the purpose of being is to attain enlightenment , or to advance the soul and spirit though spiritual lessons, karmic work and self understanding and awareness where it grows beyond the physical and evolves to a pure state of being.

Enlightenment is when the spirit evolves beyond the need of spiritual lessons, physical embodiments and free of karmic debt. It is the ultimate bliss of spiritual awareness on the Divine realm of existence. It is the moment when the spirit becomes pure energy and light and becomes one with the Divine.
