Cosmic Cycle

Metaphysical Cosmic Periods Just like incarnated beings, the universe also has major and minor fluctuations in energy. These moving patterns of energy generally last a certain period of time (usually 50 years) and are often referred to as the Cosmic Cycles. These are the Major cycles of the Divine Universe, the Galaxies around our planet, the planet itself and even the cycles of civilizations and societies.   Within these 50 year cycles, there exists smaller cosmic periods. These are often referred to as the Minor Cosmic Cycles , which occur every 7 years. These effect the energies of a specific chakra within the "soul body" of the cosmic association; such as the Galaxies, the planet, civilizations and societies.   The Cosmic Cycles The Cosmic Cycles started when time started. As we progress through each cycle period another one begins. When we finish one set of cycles periods, we "graduate" so to speak to a new level of energy and the cycles begin again. Energy is always moving, continuously flowing and influencing the seen and unseen Divine Universe around us.   In 2007 we completed the last of the 1958-to-2007 cosmic periods. 2008 starts the next 50 year Major Cosmic Cycle and the 1st of the 7 year Minor Cosmic Periods.   It's important to remember that the we face these energies as we do all things in our lives, with free will and choice. These are not preordained, but they are pre-structured opportunities. We can only try to achieve the goals set within the structures by making the right choices. Otherwise, we risk the chance of sliding backwards and repeating the lessons provided in these cycles.   The following is a brief description of the 1958-2007 set of cycles. Try to compare these descriptions to events that occurred during the same time frames and see if you can make a correlation between the cosmic energies and the events.   1958-1964 Root Energy Here in the U.S. especially, we began to set a foundation of openness. We began to explore our spirits beyond the normal Christian doctrines that were so ingrained and prevalent in the generations before the '60's. "Make Peace Not War" would be a great motto for this cycle. Society finally saw war for what it was on TV each night. No more would the 'romantic' aura which surrounded those wonderful old war movies, hide the true horrors of what war really is.   1965-1971 Pancreas Energy How we honor our physical kingdom filled this era which created the "Battle of the Sexes". We learned how to honor each other and accept the balance created by nature. It wasn't easy and it required it's battles and champions (many may look down on someone like Gloria Steinham, but would women be striving as they are today without people like her?).   1972-1978 Solar Plexus Transformation and Creation are the energies that were at work in this cycle. We came to the realization as a country that we are only tenants here on this planet and our abuse of it's resources had to be reviewed and transformed. The gas lines of the '70s really gave rise to so many ecological organizations that vowed to create healthy policies and views about the world around us.   1979-1985 Thymus Energy The synthesis of spiritual and physical natures. We finally began the all important lesson of unconditional love. Look at the political events, the changes in civilizations and upheavals that transformed oppression into freedom. Remember where you were when the wall fell in Germany? Those images of men and women standing on top of the wall knocking it down small piece by piece is the perfect picture to represent this cycle.   1986-1992 Thyroid The coming together of higher and lower wills described previously. Humankind tried to rise above the needs and desire of the physical, the material and elusive 'control'. During this cycle the greatest gains for peace and disarmament began. Some succeeded, some failed.   1993-1999 Pituitary This was the period of renewed spiritual evolution. How many people opened up spiritually that you know? How many of you developed new feelings and expressions of what many call psychic energies? These renewed lessons and insights created a new bridge between the self and spirit. Regardless of religion, this time period saw an increase in spirituality and belief.   2000-2007 Pineal The Beginning. The cycle renews and prepares us for the evolution of human kind. We finally rise above and merge in new relationships with each other, with nature and with the worlds around us. The early 2000s saw a contradiction in the world. More people were coming together to fight for peace, the planet and tolerance. While at the same time, others were taking steps to hold us in the despair of the past attempting to hold onto the trappings of control, egotistical power and abuse.   This period of cyclical energy began here in the U.S. and spread out through the world beginning in 1958. During these early years, the U.S. was truly a melting pot of the world, in culture, religion and views. Because of this, the U.S. became the center point of this particular Cycle energy.
